Interesting news from Sam’s Army here.
Seems like they are going to try to take it to the next level and get serious, not-for-profit status and all. I hope it works out. We have sat with the Sammers at all the qualifiers we have attended, and while they seem like a good bunch, we always managed to end up next to this one idiot. Anyway, I look forward joining them again in the future.

Young phenom Freddy Adu is on the preliminary USMNT roster for the Gold Cup.

Now before we start a world wide party, like at the end of Return of the Jedi, remember it’s a preliminary roster. He could not make it to camp, or be invited to camp to train and never make it in a game.

Either way, it’s the start of what I hope is a long and successful national team career.
